Google Optimise A/B Test for Electrician

The Test

In order to find out the exact uplift bringing reviews to CLF Services website, we ran what is known as an A/B test.

For our test, we showed 50% of the website visitors the website with the goodreviews widget and 50% of visitors without. We then tracked how these visitors took revenue-driving action on the website. For CLF Services, these actions were calls made on the website and quotes/enquiry submissions.

We ran the test through Google Optimise, a commonly used A/B Testing tool and used his existing Google Analytics goals.

 

The Result

CLF Services website conversion rate increase by 45%.

As an electrician in Brisbane, their average job is $500. With goodreviews installed they made an additional $30,000 in the first month.

This also means that all of Adam’s marketing expenses reduced, his cost per lead significantly reduced on both Google Ads and Local SEO.

Case Study: Car dealership gets 30 more leads 

Cricks a multi-location dealership had seen the goodreviews widget on another site and were interested in finding out what it could do for them.

They were happy to trial a test across their highly trafficked website to see what sort of results they would get.

So we got to work.

The Test

In order to find out the exact uplift bringing reviews to Cricks’ website, we ran what is known as an A/B test.

For our test, we showed 50% of the website visitors the website with the goodreviews widget and 50% of visitors without. We then tracked how these visitors took revenue-driving action on the website. For Cricks’, the primary actioned we measured against was lead form submissions.

We ran the test through Google Optimise, a commonly used A/B Testing tool and used his existing Google Analytics goals.

 

The Result

We ran the test over a one month period and found a sustained increase in conversion rate of 13.33%.

For their dealership, this brought in an additional 30 form submissions for the period.

Based on the industry close rate within the car industry this resulted in 4 additional sales.

The average car price being is $26,333, meaning, an estimated $79,000 in additional revenue.

The TLC Dentist

Case Study: Dentist brings on 69 additional patients

Dr Lucas, a dentist in Sydney, knew reviews were important to his business but didn’t know how they could impact his sales.

He’d also been wanting to increase his review collection efforts and said if he had a way for his valued clients to leave reviews on his website that his Google reviews would increase.

We ran a test to show him both.

The Test

In order to find out the exact uplift bringing reviews to The TLC Dentist’s website, we ran what is known as an A/B test.

For our test, we showed 50% of the website visitors the website with the goodreviews widget and 50% of visitors without. We then tracked how these visitors took revenue-driving action on the website. For Dr Dimitri, these actions were calls, emails and booked appointments.

We ran the test through Google Optimise, a commonly used A/B Testing tool and used his existing Google Analytics goals.

In order to track his review increase, we measured reviews to the same month of the previous year. We pulled this data directly through his Google My Business.

 

The Result

We ran the test over a one month period and found a sustained increase in conversion rate of 14.08%.

For his practice, the average new patient is worth $1,400 for the year.

By installing goodreviews he will see $96,000 in additional revenue over the year.

And at the same time… reviews for his practice increased by 700%, from 2 to 16, when compared to the same time last year.

When we told Dr Lucas the results he was blown away from the results:

“Wow, this product just made sense when I signed up, but I didn’t know it would make such a difference, so quickly. I don’t know why every business isn’t using this”.

Doors Plus

Case Study: Door Supplier breaks company records

Doors Plus has been one of Australia’s leading door suppliers for the last 30 years. With 24 stores across the country they were wanting a review solution that could make a difference.

They had looked at alternatives like Trustpilot but didn’t want to pay upwards of $14,000 per month (with a discount).

They decided to give goodreviews a try.

The Test

Goodreviews comes with inbuilt analytics, meaning, we can track a wide range of key metrics including: Widget engagements, reviews read, new reviews, average star rating and more. 

For Doors Plus they wanted to see how many more reviews were collected, what the star average of those reviews were and what was the percentage uplift in reviews collected compared to the year prior. 

The Result

They went from 27 reviews collected to 63 in their first month.

They went from a 3.6 average star rating to a 4.9 average star rating.

They broke company records for reviews collected seeing a 133% increase in reviews collected.

With 90% of customers now looking to reviews before making a purchase decision, reviews are now a fundamental requirement in winning consumers.

 

Vinetrekker

Case Study: Wine Tour Business Increases reviews by 900%

Vinetrekker is one of Melbourne’s top wine tasting companies.

Paul, the owner, had known for a long time that reviews were a necessity when it came to how and why people choose their tours. For many years he had focused on TripAdvisor reviews as a large portion of his customer base was international tourism. With the pandemic fundamentally changing his business, he knew that for the domestic market he needed Google reviews. 

Paul came across goodreviews as we are recommended by Rezdy a leading tourism software business.

The Test

For Vinetrekker, their main goal was to see the exact uplift in reviews month over month. As a value add, they also wanted to see the increase in eyeballs to their tour page.

By using a combination of our own analytics and running a test over Google Optimize we got to seeing the results. 

The Result

Vinetrekker’s review collection efforts exploded bringing in 20 reviews in a single month. Amazingly, this was more reviews than the combined total of the previous year. With Goodreviews Vinetrekker is fast becoming the highest rated Tour business in Melbourne. 

By bringing reviews onto their website they also saw an increase of 50 people interested in booking a tour. 

 

Trinity Auto

Case Study: Car Dealer increases reviews by 416%

Trinity Auto saw goodreviews on another car dealership website they periodically check in on to see how they do things.

After seeing our widget they knew what sort of impage it could have on their review collection effort.

They decided to give us a shot. 

 

The Test

For Trinity Auto, they wanted to know the exact uplift in reviews versus the same month last year (YoY). We went about getting our data in place to see the results.

Trinity Auto collected 31 reviews in their first month. An increase of 416% when compared to the previous year. 

Our review dashboard also highlighted that 2,171 visitors to their website also read their reviews.
